Just figured I should put out an update to show that I'm still alive. Yep, I'm still working on that story. A little more slowly than I would have wanted to, but at least I'm making progress faster than with the last one. I've almost finished first drafts of the next two chapters (chapter 2 is a small one though), but I'll be a while before they're in a good enough state to post.

This is quite a writing speed improvement over my last stories. I usually put about six months in between each chapter before, and now I have it down to about one, lol.

One thing though. I've been pondering if I should be sending copies of my first few chapters to publishers before posting them here. That's because they might prefer stories that weren't posted on the internet, lol. Honestly, I think the chance that a real publisher would actually like the story is very very low, I've been reading all sorts of horror stories about dealing with them, but it would certainly be preferable to self publishing.

If I do that, it'll be a while before you guys see the next chapter, but I promise that I am working on them and you'll see them eventually, lol.

Edit: I recently commissioned a picture of Darion's dragon form from =KaiserFlames, part because she's an amazing artist, and partly because I needed to get a new perspective on what he should look like. I LOVE how he came out :D

Hah, too bad it isn't really a secret what he's going to become in a few chapters, but I intend to try and surprise everyone with the how and why, in addition to what it leads to.
